Until 1974, Muslim Ethiopians has undergone blatant subjugation and discrimination. Muslims regions are left without basic infrastructures by the country standard, and Muslims were deprived the right for education for decades. Things have been improving since the incumbent government took power , however, still many are critical of the progress rate. For example, though Muslims make more than half of the country, they still make not more than about 10% in the higher education.
